“No heavy edit” is easy to say and harder to define. For this studio it means a short list of yes and a longer list of no.
Yes: colour that matches the light of the day, contrast that holds detail, a crop that strengthens the frame, cleanup of temporary distractions that do not belong to the person. No: a different face, a different body, skin that no longer looks like skin, or a style so strong that every client looks like the same filter.
Why the line matters
Clients book a photographer partly because they want to recognise themselves. If the final file is smoother than memory, the photograph starts to feel like advertising rather than a record. On wedding days especially, families keep these images for decades. They should age as the people in them age — not as a trend from the year they were shot.
Colour, contrast, a clean crop. Not a different face.
That boundary also speeds delivery. When the goal is support rather than transformation, the edit stays consistent across a gallery and the client is not surprised by the result.
What you receive
Edited images from studio packages and wedding coverage follow this standard. Raw files are available as an add-on where listed on the rate card. The philosophy does not change with the package: the person in the frame remains the person who walked into the room.
